I’m saddened to report that Stan Boyden passed away Tuesday night, Sept 6, at about 11:30 pm PST. His partner of more than 55 years, Bill St John, is doing well this morning in his usual stoic way.

I got a call about 11:45 p.m. last night and was asked to go stay with Bill until other friends could get to him, and he was holding up as well as could be expected for someone who had just lost his partner of more than 55 years … it’s certainly hard to imagine Bill without Stan as they did virtually everything together and were still as deeply in love as when they first got together. Stan was 83 and danced with TNTs & Prime 8s until he broke his hip on Christmas Eve of 2003. At 89, Bill is still dancing with the Prime 8s and we hope to keep him active with us.
